When looking for a development program to address critical business skills a ‘one size fits all’ approach rarely delivers the full benefits. LAMP (Leading and Maximising Performance) was delivered throughout 2005 and was designed to meet the needs of a national professional services company. The LAMP program consisted of five modules and included a customised on-line 360-degree feedback component for the company’s leadership team. The LAMP modules included:

Leading by example: behaving and making decisions in ways that are consistent with the company’s values and Code of Conduct.

Navigating change: the skills needed to communicate a future business objective, how to plan for achieving that objective and how to manage the reaction of team members while working towards that objective.

Managing priorities: the skills and process needed to identify, plan and manage daily work loads.

Building lasting relationships: the ability to effectively understand and manage one’s own, and others’ emotions in order to maintain constructive relationships both internal and external to the company.

Uncovering new opportunities: identifying potential or current client opportunities by developing a marketing focus, researching client opportunities and managing target accounts.
