Coaching Conversations

The Coaching Conversations program provides participants with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to effectively coach others in the workplace.  Participants at all levels can benefit from enhancing or establishing these capabilities and the program can be tailored to suit the experience and seniority of the group.

The one or two-day versions of the program provide a practical and interactive approach to workplace coaching and how to apply this knowledge when coaching staff at various levels.

The two-day version places a greater emphasis on capability development through more structured skill building activities, feedback and self-reflection.  The self-reflection component is enhanced through the use of a personalised leadership capability self-report completed pre-program.  The two-day program also adopts an experiential approach to learning through the use of an evolving case-study scenario which can be customised to meet specific situations.

At the completion of the Coaching Conversations program participants will be able to:
  • Understand the difference between mentoring, coaching and performance management
  • Understand the relationship between coaching, performance and workplace outcomes
  • Apply a practical framework and process to guide workplace coaching
  • Apply a core set of competencies involved in workplace coaching
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of workplace coaching
